I'll be in the closet ...

... because I LOVE it!!!

When we bought this house, nearly two years ago ... I knew one thing: I needed a walk-in closet. So from the get-go, a plan for one was in the works. In the beginning, after Eric blocked off a gracious area for this closet, I would stand in its boundaries and daydream about the room. Shoes neatly stacked, sweaters nicely folded ... a place for everything ... my jewelry, purses, the ironing board ... etc. After apartment dwelling for six years, with some tiny - and some shared (gasp!) - closet spaces, I was ecstatic. OK, so the house at the time may not have had walls ...and I could see the earth below the floors ... but I was happy standing in the space that would become my closet.

Since we moved in, this closet has served me well. Long, ample racks for my clothes, some drawer space and room for the ironing board. But, I longed for the day when Eric would make it beautiful and fully functioning for all of my beloved things. But, as more important home renovations took precedence ... I patiently waited.

Recently, my time arrived. Take a look ...

To the right of photo area above are wall-to-wall, double racks for hanging clothes and jackets. Since they aren't quiet organized yet, I'll spare you the view.

Old apple crates from a local orchard serve as perfect shoe racks!
